Youth Rally for City Budget Amendments
Councilwoman Mary Pat Clarke commits to voting 'Yes' to the proposed city budget amendments that would include funding for youth summer jobs, after school activities and recreation.
Safe and Sound Campaign Youth Ambassadors stood outside City Hall all day, asking elected officials to keep their commitments to support youth opportunities.
Outside all day, in over 100 degrees, and many elected officials declined to stop by.
"It's been a long time coming, but I know a change is gonna come"
Despite commitments to support youth opportunities, the city council voted down the proposed amendment. SRB's budget was voted through.

good things happening
A couple guys that grew up in the neighborhood are opening a deli bistro in this building soon.
They also have a youth carpentry program for the kids in the neighborhood.

Campesinos llegan en bici
The campesinos of San Simeón, a pueblo that is a ghost town because of migration (6,000 of 12,000 remain), arrived to the regional meeting on an enjoyable bike.
